Hi everyone! I’ve been dealing with some issues around my home involving both gutters and carpentry, and I’m curious to hear others’ experiences. For starters, I’ve noticed my gutters have been getting clogged more often, especially during heavy rain. I’m thinking of either cleaning them more regularly or investing in gutter guards. Has anyone tried those, and do they really work?

Also, on the carpentry side, I’m looking into fixing up some of the wood around my home, especially near the gutters where water has caused some damage over time. For those of you who have tackled similar projects, what materials or techniques worked best for you? Should I just replace sections of wood, or can some of it be repaired with a good sealant?
