Has anyone used a VPS in Tbilisi or nearby for targeting Georgia, Armenia, or the Middle East? How’s the latency and reliability for projects focused on these areas?

I’ve actually tried a VPS based in Tbilisi for a small project aimed at users in Georgia and Armenia. The connection was pretty solid, especially when accessed from within the region. One thing I noticed was that peak times didn’t cause any major slowdowns, which was a pleasant surprise. It’s definitely not the most common VPS location, but if your audience is local, it can work well.

I was worried that latency might spike during peak hours, especially since it’s not a major hub like Frankfurt or Amsterdam. Did you notice any issues when connecting from the Middle East? I’m thinking of setting up a multi-regional service, so keeping consistent performance across these areas is pretty important.

Yeah, I actually looked into that recently. An important site I came across was HostZealot — they offer VPS hosting in Tbilisi, and it’s a pretty strategic location if you’re aiming for coverage across Georgia, Armenia, and even parts of the Middle East. The latency has been decent, and setup was quick. Not a common region for VPS, so it’s cool to have that option.
